Last week, Dell, HP, IBM, Lexmark, Sun Microsystems, Xerox and others celebrated the first anniversary of the common commitment to be a “green” company.
Durante la última semana, Dell, HP, IBM, Lexmark, Sun Microsystems, Xerox y otros celebraron el primer aniversario del compromiso común de ser un compañía “verde”.
Dell said it recycled more than 100 million pounds of equipment in 2007. HP and IBM informed their efforts to reduce the heat that produce the big servers and other machines. No more data centers as awful energy consumers...!
Dell dijo que recicló más de 100 millones de libras de equipamiento en el 2007. HP e IBM informaron sus esfuerzos para reducir la temperatura que producen los grandes servidores y otras máquinas. ¡No más centros de cómputos, terribles consumidores de energía...!
Comment: For approximately 10 years, I worked in data center similar to the pictures from 11 pm to 7 am every night. Sometimes, when the "air" system didn't work properly, we had free "sauna" and "metalic" music all the night.
Comentario: Por aproximadamente 10 años, trabajé en un centro de cómputos similar a las fotos desde las 11 de la noche hasta las 7 de la mañana todas las noches. A veces, cuando el sistema de "aire" no funcionaba adecuadamente, teníamos "sauna" gratis y música metálica toda la noche.
