Personally, I think the most important subject of the week was Africa. The travel of the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton through different countries of this continent woke up the interest of the media and journalists to learn a little about what happens in a region that a lot of people ignore.

El viaje de la Secretaria de Estado Hillary Clinton a través de diferentes países de este continente despertó el interés de los medios y periodistas por aprender un poquito acerca de lo que pasa en una región que mucha gente ignora.

The drama of Africa is very painful and complex. It is not possible to solve with periodical visits of important representatives of the Western countries with good intentions.

El drama de África es muy doloroso y complejo. No es posible solucionarlos con visitas periódicas de importantes representantes de los países occidentales con buenas intenciones.

Africa is the world’s second-largest and second most-populous continent after Asia. It includes 53 countries, not counting the disputed territory of Western Sahara. Multiple races, languages, and political regimes form a human mosaic with a lot of crime, misery, and diseases.

África es el segundo continente más grande y populoso del mundo después de Asia. Incluye 53 países, no contando con el territorio disputado de Sahara Occidental. Múltiples razas, lenguas, y regimenes políticos forman un mosaico humano con mucho crimen, miseria y enfermedades.

Despite the intensive work of humanitarian organizations and Christian and Catholic organizations, the devilish action of leaders without heart and criminal gangs make very difficult the respect for human rights and justice.

A pesar del trabajo intensivo de organizaciones humanitarias y de organizaciones cristianas y católicas, la acción diabólica de líderes sin corazón y de bandas criminales hace muy difícil el respeto por los derechos humanos y la justicia.

Their faith in God maintains a lot of victims of the crimes with hope for better days, but this is not enough…. All Africa demands a new Gospel.

A Gospel that shows how the evil acts embodied in rapists and tyrants. And who and where are the prophets of justice and good.

This year, the summer came with a lot of rain and storms to the Teton Valley, in Idaho. During last season in 2008, the summer was dry and sunny. Now, frequently, hard balls of hail fall on the roofs producing a lot of noise and damages.

Personally, I think the liberation of the two American journalists showed that sometime miracles are possible. We don’t know a lot of details about the deal, but we do know Euna Lee and Laura Ling returned to the United States. For humanitarian reasons, this is great news. Perhaps it is good we don’t know more about the secret meeting. What do you think?

La prensa comentó que el ex presidente Bill Clinton viajó a Pyonyang y se reunió con el líder norcoreano Kim Jong-il. - Do you know Israel is upset with the United States? Now, the two countries have very different political agenda.
- Did you hear something about the new agreement between Microsoft and Yahoo? The Windows' Father is very happy despite Yahoo continues as an independent company for now. Steve Ballmer, Microsoft's CEO, smiles again. Wall Street beat Yahoo's stock down, falling 18.08% a week.
- Did you read the new report from the U.S. Commerce Department about the GDP (Gross Domestic Product)?
- What do you know about Corazon Aquino? She died on Saturday at 76 in Manila, Philippines, after a battle with cancer. She really was more than a “Plain Housewife”.

Personally, I think the economy is again in the first stage. According to an article published by Wall Street Journal, the economist Sung Won Sohn, Smith School of Business and Economics, said: “Hopefully the bottom of the recession is here. The worst recession since the Great Depression is likely coming to an end.”
