Personally, I think the most important subject of the week was Africa. The travel of the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton through different countries of this continent woke up the interest of the media and journalists to learn a little about what happens in a region that a lot of people ignore.

Personalmente, yo pienso que el tema más importante de la semana fue África. El viaje de la Secretaria de Estado Hillary Clinton a través de diferentes países de este continente despertó el interés de los medios y periodistas por aprender un poquito acerca de lo que pasa en una región que mucha gente ignora.

The drama of Africa is very painful and complex. It is not possible to solve with periodical visits of important representatives of the Western countries with good intentions.

El drama de África es muy doloroso y complejo. No es posible solucionarlos con visitas periódicas de importantes representantes de los países occidentales con buenas intenciones.

Africa is the world’s second-largest and second most-populous continent after Asia. It includes 53 countries, not counting the disputed territory of Western Sahara. Multiple races, languages, and political regimes form a human mosaic with a lot of crime, misery, and diseases.

África es el segundo continente más grande y populoso del mundo después de Asia. Incluye 53 países, no contando con el territorio disputado de Sahara Occidental. Múltiples razas, lenguas, y regimenes políticos forman un mosaico humano con mucho crimen, miseria y enfermedades.

Despite the intensive work of humanitarian organizations and Christian and Catholic organizations, the devilish action of leaders without heart and criminal gangs make very difficult the respect for human rights and justice.

A pesar del trabajo intensivo de organizaciones humanitarias y de organizaciones cristianas y católicas, la acción diabólica de líderes sin corazón y de bandas criminales hace muy difícil el respeto por los derechos humanos y la justicia.

Their faith in God maintains a lot of victims of the crimes with hope for better days, but this is not enough…. All Africa demands a new Gospel.

Su fe en Dios mantiene a muchas víctimas de los crímenes con esperanza por días mejores, pero eso no es suficiente… Toda África demanda un nuevo Evangelio.

A Gospel that shows how the evil acts embodied in rapists and tyrants. And who and where are the prophets of justice and good.

Un Evangelio que muestre como el mal actúa encarnado en violadores y tiranos. Y quién y donde están los profetas de la justicia y el bien.
