Hello! Welcome to a new Sunday Bilingual News! During the last three weeks, our issues were emergency versions for special circumstances. Despite all of it, we continue with the idea to analyze the main news every weekend from a bilingual perspective.
¡Hola! ¡Bienvenidos a un nuevo número del Sunday Bilingual News! Durante las últimas semanas, nuestros números fueron versiones de emergencia por circunstancias especiales. A pesar de todo, continuamos con la idea de analizar las principales noticias cada fin de semana con una perspectiva bilingüe.
For you, what was the most important news of the last week? During the last few days, the newspapers and TV programs talked a lot about President Obama’s speech about health care, the fraud in the elections of Afghanistan, and the new anniversary of September 11 terrorist attacks.
Para ustedes, ¿cuál fue la noticia más importante de la última semana? Durante los últimos días, los periódicos y los programas de televisión hablaron mucho sobre el discurso del Presidente Obama acerca de la asistencia médica, el fraude en las elecciones de Afganistán, y el nuevo aniversario de los ataques terroristas del 11 de Septiembre.
Personally, I think the health care issue continues as an important subject for all the media and the members of government, but it is very difficult to analyze the different points of views without passion and hard discussion.
Personalmente, yo pienso que el asunto de la asistencia médica continúa como un tema muy importante para los medios de prensa y los miembros del gobierno, pero es muy difícil analizar los diferentes puntos de vista sin pasiones y duras discusiones.
Today we have other interesting news without political colors. For example, last Thursday Motorola introduced a new mobile intelligent phone named CLIQ. This digital creature is the first phone with social skills. Thanks to MOTORBLUR, it synchronizes contacts, letters, messages, photos and much more. CLIQ runs with the power of Android, Google’s operating system for mobile phones.
Hoy tenemos otras noticias interesantes que no tienen color político. Por ejemplo, el último jueves, Motorola introdujo un nuevo teléfono móvil inteligente denominado CLIQ. Esta nueva criatura digital es el primer teléfono con destrezas sociales. Gracias a MOTORBLUR, sincroniza contactos, cartas, mensajes, fotos y mucho más. CLIQ corre con el poder de Android, sistema operativo de Google para teléfonos móviles.
Motorola developed MOTORBLUR as a software tool to help CLIQ in the synchronization of different digital contents that generate a new environment for mobile communication.
Motorola desarrolló MOTORBLUR como una herramienta de programación que ayuda a CLIQ en la sincronización de diferentes contenidos digitales que generan un nuevo ambiente para las comunicaciones móviles.

The book “One Digital Day” written by Rick Smolan and Jennifer Erwitt, and published by Times Books/Random House with the assistance of Intel Corporation in 1998, talks about the pervasiveness of the microprocessor in our lives with extensive samples of all the changes that technology has produced on the human side of the world.
El libro “Un día digital”, escrito por Rick Smolan y Jennifer Erwitt, y publicado por Times Books/Random House con la asistencia de Intel Corporation en 1998, habla acerca de la omnipresencia del microprocesador en nuestras vidas con amplios ejemplos de todos los cambios que la tecnología ha producido en el lado humano del mundo.
The authors of this book say we are already growing indifferent to the presence of those thousands of microprocessors and technology that are embedded into our daily presence.
Los autores de este libro dicen que nosotros ya estamos creciendo indiferentes a la presencia de esos miles de microprocesadores y tecnología que está empotrada dentro de nuestra presencia diaria.
From 1998 till today, we saw how the technology has spread everywhere, to the dashboards of cars, the microwave of the kitchen, the digital high resolution television, and also the thermostats that control the hot water in our showers.

After BlackBerry, iPhones and all the relatives of these two icons of the mobile phone revolution of recent days, CLIQ looks like a new milestone that probably will deeply touch all aspects of social living and human existence from now on.

In summary, the new creature from Motorola probably will not expand the pages of articles and headlines of the new health care law, but without any doubt it will produce more deep changes in our social life than the new law can generate to solve the social drama of all the people without medical insurance today.
En resumen, la nueva criatura de Motorola probablemente no gastará las páginas de artículos y titulares de la nueva ley de asistencia médica, pero sin lugar a dudas producirá más profundos cambios en nuestra vida social que lo que la nueva ley pueda generar para resolver el drama social de toda las personas sin seguro médico hoy.
