From Valencia, Spain, a United Nations panel of scientists distributed a report pointing the risks of the inaction on climate change. The United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change for the first time specifically points out important risks if governments fail to respond. The scientists say the melting ice could lead to a rapid rise in sea levels and the extinction of large numbers of species… This was the first report after this panel was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in October.

SPANISH PRACTICE

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here you have a small story to read and practice your knowledge of the language:

La última llamada… / The last call…

No tienen hojas. No tienen verde.

This is the Teton Valley in the side of Idaho. Now it is 7 am. Till now is dark. It is snowing.

Please look the picture and try to describe it with your Spanish knowledge. Write small sentences

.

Vocabulary / Vocabulario:
- snow: nieve (noun)
- snow: nevar (verb)
- snowball: bola de nieve
- snowbound: bloqueado por nieve
- snowfall: nevada
- snowplow: quitanieves
- snowstorm: nevada, nevasca
- house, houses: casas
- roof, roofs : techo
- tree trees: árboles
- light, lights: luz, luces
- dark: oscuro

Questions / Preguntas:

Here you have a small story as simple:
